Where are you located?

CTFC is based at 5 Cross St, Meriden, CT

When are you open?

Our shopping hours for wholesale are: Wednesday 8-12, Thursday 8-10, and Friday 8-12. We are open to the public on Thursdays and Fridays only. We recommend making an appointment if you will be purchasing flowers for a specific event, but are also available for walk-in purchases.

I am a Floral Designer or Shop. What do I need to know?

Lucky you, the CT Flower Collective is designed specifically to bring local, fresh product to your studio or shop! In order to become a member, you must have a Sales Tax ID. Please follow the steps on our membership page to complete your account. Once you are signed up, you will be able to preorder flowers for pickup, and also shop our floor on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. We recommend you bring your own buckets for transport.

Buyer membership is $40/year for new members and $25/year for renewing members. Each purchase incurs a 5% handling fee to cover collective expenses.

We offer a buying experience unlike any other in the region, with a heady array of local flowers, foliage, textures, and even artisan made hard goods and ribbons.

I am a Grower. Can I sell my flowers with the Collective?

We welcome growers of any scale to apply to share product with our customers. We have stringent standards of quality, and certain weekly deadlines that must be met. We offer guidance and support to those who are new to the Collective. Pricing is guided by the Collective but set by each grower. Growers are paid monthly, and receive 80% of their gross sales. The Collective retains 20% for operating costs.

I am a Farmer-Florist. Will my membership allow me to both buy and sell flowers through the Collective?

If you have a Buyer Membership, you may purchase only. If you have a Grower Membership, you may both buy and sell.

Do you Deliver?

Yes, we deliver within a 60 mile radius. Our current delivery fee is $35 with a $300 minimum order.

I’m a grower from outside Connecticut. Can I offer flowers through the Collective?

Yes, we welcome growers from nearby states to apply.

How do I preorder?

Our weekly availability is published via online marketplace Rooted Farmers to our member list on Thursdays at 8 am. Items are listed alphabetically and divided by farm (for example, we may have several farms with the same variety available) and price per bunch plus any notes are marked. Orders close Sundays at 10 pm. You may choose pickup or delivery for your order, and you may choose preorder fulfillment on either Wednesday or Friday.

What are the membership fees and handling fees?

Buyer membership is $40 for new members, $25 for renewing members. Grower membership is determined by application and costs $400 annually. Each sale also incurs a 5% handling fee (charged to the buyer) and a 20% commission (charged to the grower.) These fees are used to cover the costs of payroll, rent, and other operational fees. An annual report is shared yearly.

What form of payment do you take?

All payments must be made via credit card.

One week is not enough lead time, what are my options?

Any buyer, at any time, is welcome to submit a special request form for any week in the entire season. This is especially relevant during dahlia season. Special request form items are made visible to farmers, who can list accordingly on our online sales platform. Special requests do not constitute an order. All orders must be completed through our online sales platform, Rooted Farmers.

What Flowers are in Season when?

While we can’t guarantee any type of blooms at a certain time, our friends over at Rooted Farmers put together a Seasonal Look Book of our top selling flowers every month. Check it out Here! We also recommend checking out our Instagram as we post weekly what is in the cooler!
